Amicasa’s Shipping Insurance

🛡️ What is AmiSafe?

AmiSafe is Amicasa’s optional shipping insurance that compensates you in case your box is officially declared lost by UPS, DHL, or EMS. It gives you peace of mind during international shipping.
If the carrier confirms the loss, Amicasa will compensate you in AmiPoints (store credit) for up to the value of the shipping fee, with a maximum limit of $400 USD.

💵 How much does it cost?

  • Paid in real money at the time of requesting international shipping.
  • Cost: $5 USD per box
  • This service must be selected individually for each box you wish to insure.
  • ✅ What does it cover?

  • Permanent loss of your shipment during transit, confirmed by UPS, DHL, or EMS after an official investigation.
  • Compensation is up to the shipping fee paid, capped at $400 USD, and paid in AmiPoints.
  • ❌ What it does NOT cover:

  • Delays, damages, or theft after delivery.
  • Packages marked as delivered by the carrier.
  • Packages returned to sender.
  • Seizure, retention, or destruction by customs.
  • Incorrect shipping addresses provided by the client.
  • Lost items not confirmed as lost by the courier.
  • 📦 One Box = One Insurance

  • The insurance is per box.
  • If your shipment is divided into multiple boxes, you must insure each box individually by selecting the service when requesting shipping.
  • 📋 Claim Process:

    1. Client submits a claim to Amicasa within 90 days of the last movement/scan of the package.

    2. Amicasa will contact the carrier (UPS/DHL/EMS) to investigate.

    3. If eligible, Amicasa may submit an official loss claim to the courier.

    4. Once the carrier confirms the box as lost:

  • Compensation will be issued in AmiPoints, up to the cost of shipping (max $400 USD).
  • The case will be closed within 10 business days of carrier confirmation.
  • 🛡️ Anti-Fraud & Abuse Prevention

    To protect the community and service:

  • Carrier confirmation is mandatory. We only issue compensation when the courier declares the package as lost.
  • Packages marked as delivered or returned are automatically excluded.
  • Clients with repeated or suspicious claims may have their insurance privileges suspended.
  • Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the last tracking update.
  • AmiPoints are non-cash, non-transferable, and valid only for future Amicasa services.
